Tin Man: Not His Kink

Part Twelve

Cain fell into his favorite chair with a growl. He hated getting caught up with diplomatic meetings when he was worried about his wife. Even though he was worried about her sudden illness, he smiled as he considered his second marriage of four months.

He had finally teased her about one of his observations about her once they finished the arrests on Herku's former property and were journeying back to Finaqua. "Why do you call me Wyatt and Commander when I'm bedding you without the collar?"

He didn't expect to see a guilty flash in her eyes before she glanced away. "It's because I would wear the collar that you buckled on me. I don't know how to address you when I feel like that."

His breath caught in his throat. He thought he was only helping her deal with her pressures before she found someone else. But admitting she wanted to submit to him completely proved there was no one else. He drew her face up and kissed her softly. "If you want to wear my collar, I want to wear your ring. Seems fair if you make that kind of commitment to me, that I make one to you."

Her blue eyes brimmed with tears. "You want to marry me?"

"Not if it's gonna make you cry."

She squeezed him tighter as they laid together in the bed. "I never thought I could have both. That I'd have to give up kink when I found someone I loved."

"I wouldn't ask that of you, DG. I love you and I want to marry you."

DG slipped her arms around his neck while he was lost in his memories. "Bad day?"

"Long day." He pulled her around the chair to his lap. She already started on cheering him up, wearing nothing but her gold torque of twisting bands of rubies, sapphires, amethysts, and emeralds and her matching wedding band. He kissed her. "Did you see Raw today?"

"I did, so I have bad news and badder news." She rested her head on his shoulder.

"Shouldn't one of those be good?"

"My reconnaissance, my opinion. Which one do you want first?"

"The worst one." He rubbed her hip and thigh as he waited.

"Raw wants us to stay out of the dungeon for a while. Just vanilla."

A vice squeezed Cain's chest. "I hurt you."

DG's hand cupped his cheek. "So quick to take the blame. But no, Raw thinks we may get over-excited and hurt the baby."

He looked into her deep blue eyes. "We're having a baby?" He laughed when she nodded and kissed her. "So what could possibly be bad news with that?"

"Oh, I'm supposed to be thrilled with puking my guts out every morning and getting huge?" She couldn't hold back her giggle.

"Let's celebrate." Cain scooped her up and carried her to their bedroom. "I'll be careful with your favorite position."

"Yes, please, Husband."
